Unfortunately I need to sell my Ruger Red Label 20 ga and I'm trying to figure out a reasonable value. From the serial number it looks like it was made in 1989, has the blued receiver, and the full and mod fixed chokes. Condition is 95% with not rust and a few tiny dings in the stock. Do not have the original box. Excellent Ruger Red Label O/U Shotgun with Box and Papers GI#: 101645139 Serial #400-04163, 20 Ga. (3'), 26' VR barrels (Mod and Full) with excellent, bright bores. This is a 1979-made gun that has retained 99% of the original blue finish, with some silvering ar.Click for more info.

With appreciation for any leads.......... Rob Harris

Is there a serial number or date of manufacture cutoff separating the two? _________________ We inda bidness of killin' mocassins, and cousin, bidness izza boomin'!!!!

The one I have is a second year production 20 ga. with the blued receiver, still fully functional, but nothing lasts forever other than a bad reputation. Sugar River - I was told at one time that the factory was not repairing the earlier guns, but I've no knowledge if it includes all 'Red Labels' at this point. A call to the factory would likely clear it up, but am primarily looking for qualified 'smiths' with access to Ruger parts, should I need one. All Best, Rob

I have read that they will service just about any double under the sun. https://connecticutshotgun.co _________________ 'It ain't who shoots first and it ain't who shoots most; it's who HITS first.
